Personal Care Home

At the very heart of the Ruth M. Smith Center’s mission is a personal care home for the elderly, the disadvantaged, and the challenged citizens of the region.  Up to 28 adults reside in three buildings—two ranch style buildings and a 19th century mansion house.  In each, residents receive home-style care.  

 

The personal care includes 24-hour adult supervision in each building, meals prepared at the Center and served family style, the administration of medication by trained staff, a daily schedule of planned activities, and general oversight of a resident’s needs and routines.
